DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a malfunction occurs in a connected device.

B1585	When one of the conditions below is met: A non mass-storage class or incompatible protocol USB device USB device with an incompatible file system, corrupted or incompatible File Allocation Table (FAT) "iPod" malfunction "iPod" with unsupported firmware connected Unsupported "iPod" model is connected	USB device or "iPod" Navigation receiver assembly

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

After replacing the navigation receiver assembly of vehicles subscribed to pay-type satellite radio broadcasts, registration of the XM radio ID is necessary.

PROCEDURE

1.	REPLACE USB DEVICE OR "iPod"

(a) Disconnect the USB device or "iPod" from the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.

(b) Turn the ignition switch off.

HINT:

When this DTC has been stored, it is necessary to turn off the ignition switch to make it possible for the vehicle to recognize a new device when it is connected.

(d) Connect a known good USB device or "iPod" to the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.

HINT:

If the malfunction occurred when a USB device was in use, use another USB device for the inspection. If the malfunction occurred when an "iPod" was in use, use another "iPod" for the inspection.
Refer to System Description for compatible formats and versions (See page ).

CHECK DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs (See page ).

(b) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC are output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

USB DEVICE FORMAT WAS INCOMPATIBLE, "iPod" VERSION WAS INCOMPATIBLE, OR USBDEVICE OR "iPod" WAS DEFECTIVE
