Toyota 4Runner: Accumulator Low Pressure (C1452)

Trouble Area

C1452

After braking, the fluid pressure inside the accumulator is below the threshold within 3.2 seconds.

  • Hydraulic circuit
  • Master cylinder solenoid (Accumulator pressure sensor)

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

When replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform calibration (See page ).


PROCEDURE

1.

CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS

(a) Check with the customer to determine if frequent braking has been performed.

RECONFIRM DTC

(a) Clear the DTC (See page ).


(b) Turn the ignition switch off.

(c) Depress the brake pedal more than 40 times.

(d) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(e) Wait for 99 seconds.

(f) Check if the same DTC is output (See page
).

HINT:

Excessive brake pedal operation results in abnormal accumulator pressure consumption. This is normal.
