Toyota 4Runner: Noise Occurs or Sound Skips when Portable Player Plays

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

HINT:

  • Perform this check with the portable player volume set at an appropriate level.
  • Make sure that there are no obstructions between the portable player and navigation receiver assembly that may block signals, and that the portable player and navigation receiver assembly are not excessively far apart.
  • Make sure that devices other than the navigation receiver assembly are not connected to the portable player.
  • Make sure that there is no interference from a wireless LAN, etc.

PROCEDURE

CHECK USING ANOTHER "Bluetooth" AUDIO COMPATIBLE VEHICLE OF SAME MODEL

(a) Check that the same problem does not occur in the sound heard from the speakers on another "Bluetooth" audio compatible vehicle of the same model.

OK:

The same problem does not occur in the sound heard from the speakers.

REMOVE ADDITIONAL DEVICES WHICH USE RADIO WAVES

(a) Remove additional devices which use radio waves.

(b) Play the portable player and check that the same problem does not occur in the sound heard from the speakers.
