SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

1. ILLUMINATION CONTROL SYSTEM (Illuminated Entry System)

(a) The illuminated entry system has the following control functions:

Actuation Area-linked*1

When a registered key enters any actuation area around the doors, the lights that operate turn on.

  • Engine switch illumination
  • Map light assembly
  • No. 1 room light assembly
  • Door mirror foot light

Door Lock/Unlock-linked

When any door is unlocked, the lights that operate turn on.

  • Engine switch illumination*1
  • Ignition key cylinder light*2
  • Map light assembly
  • No. 1 room light assembly
  • Door mirror foot light
  • Interior foot light
  • Inside handle illumination

When all doors are closed, the lights that operate turn off.

Door Open/Close-linked

When any door is opened, the lights that operate turn on.

  • Engine switch illumination*1
  • Ignition key cylinder light*2
  • Map light assembly
  • No. 1 room light assembly
  • Door mirror foot light
  • Interior foot light
  • Inside handle illumination
  • Courtesy light

When all doors are closed, the lights that operate turn off.

Back Door Open/Close-linked

When back door is opened, the lights that operate turn on.

Spot light assembly

When back doors are closed, the lights that operate turn off.

Engine Switch-linked*1

Ignition Switch-linked*2

When the ignition switch is turned from ACC or ON to off, the lights that operate turn on.

  • Engine switch illumination*1

  • No. 1 room light assembly
  • Interior foot light
  • Inside handle illumination

Battery Saving

When the doors remain in the same condition for 20 minutes and the key is outside the vehicle exterior detection area, the illumination of the items listed to the right turns off.*1

When the doors remain in the same condition for 20 minutes and the key is not in the ignition key cylinder, the illumination of the items listed to the right turns off.*2

2. BATTERY SAVING CONTROL SYSTEM

(a) When the interior lights have been illuminated for approximately 20 minutes with the engine switch off, this function turns off all of the interior lights in order to prevent the battery from being depleted.

HINT:

When the light control operation conditions are met, battery saving control is canceled.
