PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY
(a) for Driver Side:

(1) Check the operation of the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly (slide motor). Check that the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals. OK:
If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly. Text in Illustration

|
(2) Check the operation of the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly (front vertical motor). Check that the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the front vertical motor connector terminals. OK:
If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly. Text in Illustration

(3) Check the operation of the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly (lifter motor). Check that the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the lifter motor connector terminals. OK:
If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly. Text in Illustration

(b) for Front Passenger Side:
|
(1) Check the operation of the front seat cushion spring (slide motor). Check that the front seat cushion spring moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals. OK:
If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat cushion spring assembly. Text in Illustration

2. INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY
(a) for Driver Side:

(1) Check the operation of the separate type front seatback spring assembly (reclining motor). Check that the separate type front seatback spring assembly moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals. OK:
If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seatback spring assembly. Text in Illustration

|
(2) Check the operation of the separate type front seatback spring assembly (lumbar motor). Check that the separate type front seatback spring assembly moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the lumbar motor connector terminals. OK:
If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seatback spring assembly. Text in Illustration

(b) for Front Passenger Side:
|
(1) Check the operation of the separate type front seatback spring assembly (reclining motor). Check that the separate type front seatback spring assembly moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals. OK:
