Toyota 4Runner: Invalid Data Received from Deceleration Sensor (C1442,C1443)

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU receives signals from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor via the CAN communication system.

C1442

An invalid data signal is transmitted continuously from the acceleration sensor for 10 seconds or more.

C1443

An invalid data signal is transmitted continuously from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor for 10 seconds or more.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

When replacing the yaw rate and acceleration sensor, perform calibration (See page ).


PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs (See page ).


(b) Turn the ignition switch off.

(c) Start the engine and idle it for 60 seconds, and then stop the engine.

(d) Check if the same DTC is output (See page
).
