HINT:
When installing the back door outside garnish seal, heat the back door outside garnish surface using a heat light.

NOTICE:
Do not heat the back door outside garnish excessively.
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL BACK DOOR CONTROL SWITCH (w/ Smart Key System)
2. INSTALL NO. 1 BACK DOOR GARNISH RETAINER (w/o Smart Key System)
(a) Install the No. 1 back door garnish retainer with the screw.
3. INSTALL BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH SEAL
(a) Clean the back door outside garnish surface.
(1) Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish surface.
(2) Remove the double-sided tape from the back door outside garnish surface.
(3) Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
(b) Install a new back door outside garnish seal.
(1) Remove the peeling paper from the face of a new back door outside garnish seal.
HINT:
After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.
(2) Install the back door outside garnish seal.
4. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL NO. 2 BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH
(a) Attach the 2 clips to install the No. 2 back door outside garnish.
6. INSTALL BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

DESCRIPTION
The signal check circuit detects trouble in the sensor or switch signal which
cannot be detected by the DTC check.
Connecting terminals TS and CG of the DLC3 starts the check.
