Toyota 4Runner: XM Tuner Antenna Disconnected (B15FE,B15FF)

DESCRIPTION

These DTCs are stored when a malfunction occurs in the satellite radio antenna assembly which is connected to the stereo component tuner assembly.

  • No. 2 instrument panel wire
  • No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly
  • No. 3antenna cord sub-assembly
  • Satellite radio antenna assembly
  • Stereo component tuner assembly
  • Navigation receiver assembly

B15FF

A short occurs in the satellite radio antenna assembly.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

After replacing the navigation receiver assembly of vehicles subscribed to pay-type satellite radio broadcasts, registration of the XM radio ID is necessary.

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK CONNECTION OF SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA CABLE

(a) Check if the satellite radio antenna cable is securely connected to the stereo component tuner assembly.

OK:

Satellite radio antenna cable is securely connected.

SECURELY CONNECT SATELLITE RADIOANTENNA CABLE

OK

2.

REPLACE NO. 3 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the No. 3 antenna cord sub-assembly (See page ).


(b) Clear the DTCs (See page ).


(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC are output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

REPLACE NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly (See page ).


(b) Clear the DTCs (See page ).


(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC are output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

REPLACE SATELLITE RADIO ANTENNA ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the satellite radio antenna assembly (See page ).


(b) Clear the DTCs (See page ).


(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC are output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

REPLACE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE

(a) Replace the No. 2 instrument panel wire (See page ).


(b) Clear the DTCs (See page ).


(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC are output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.

REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT TUNER ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the stereo component tuner assembly (See page ).


(b) Clear the DTCs (See page ).


(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC are output again.
