DESCRIPTION

  • When a key switch is pushed: 1) the door control receiver receives the key signal; 2) the door control receiver sends a signal to the certification ECU; 3) the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) sends the operation permission signal to the power window regulator motors; and 4) the power window regulator motor assemblies are activated.
  • When the driver door key cylinder (key-linked switch) is turned: 1) the door lock motor receives the signal; 2) the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) sends the signal to the power window regulator motors; and 3) the power window regulator motor assemblies are activated.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

HINT:

Since the power window control system has functions that use LIN communication, first confirm that there is no malfunction in the communication system by inspecting the LIN communication functions in accordance with the "How to Proceed with Troubleshooting" procedures. Then, conduct the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

CHECK BASIC FUNCTION (WIRELESS AND POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Check that the wireless transmitter (See page ) and driver door key cylinder (key-linked switch)
(See page ) lock and unlock all the doors normally.

CHECK MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION

(a) Check that the manual up/down function using the multiplex network master switch and power window regulator switches can operate all the power windows (See page ).

Manual up/down function is normal.

CHECK REMOTE UP/DOWN FUNCTION

(a) Check that the remote up/down function using the multiplex network master switch operates the power windows (See page ).
