INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE*

(a) Measure the voltage of the battery.

Standard voltage:

11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

  • If any CAN communication system DTCs are output, perform troubleshooting for the CAN communication system first (See page ).

  • If communication with the power steering ECU assembly cannot be established through the Techstream, inspect terminals CANH and CANL of the DLC3 and power steering ECU assembly, and the IG circuit of the power steering ECU assembly.
