PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL POWER LIFT STEP ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the power lift step assembly with the 2 nuts and 4 bolts.
Torque:
16 N·m {163 kgf·cm, 12 ft·lbf}
(b) Connect the connector.
2. INSTALL STEP PLATE
(a) Open the door and deploy the side auto step fully.
(b) Using a 5 mm hexagon wrench, install the step plate with the 4 hexagon bolts. Torque: 12 N·m {122 kgf·cm, 9 ft·lbf} HINT: After replacing the power lift step assembly with a new one, install the step plate, and then cut off the clamp with the power lift step assembly extended. The seat belt buckle switch LH circuit consists of the center airbag sensor and
front seat inner belt LH.
DTC B1656/37 is stored when a malfunction is detected in the seat belt buckle
switch LH circuit.
