DESCRIPTION

The power steering ECU assembly receives steering angle signals from the steering angle sensor via CAN communication. The power steering ECU assembly provides appropriate assisting force in accordance with the steering angle signal.

PROCEDURE

1.	CHECK OTHER DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

(a) Check if DTC U0126 is output (See page ).

HINT:

DTC U0126 indicates a CAN communication malfunction in the power steering system.

GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING)

2.	CHECK OTHER DTC OUTPUT (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Using the Techstream, check for DTCs related to the steering angle sensor and confirm that there are no problems in the vehicle stability control system (See page ).
